Breaking News from Ultra Electronics BCF
BCF Designs Limited are acquired by Ultra Electronics Holdings PLC
As of 30th November 2007, the specialist aerospace test equipment company, BCF Designs Limited, will become part of the Ultra Electronics Group. Ultra Electronics is a group of specialised, advanced technology businesses that design, manufacture and support electronic and electromechanical systems, sub-systems and products for defence, security, aerospace and transport applications worldwide.
Gareth John, Managing Director of BCF Designs and one of its original founders, said: “Acquisition by an organisation such as Ultra Electronics is recognition of the dedication, innovation and hard work of everyone that works for BCF Designs.
“The resources of Ultra Electronics will help us provide even greater opportunities for BCF Designs and its people in the future. The business will remain in Cirencester, which demonstrates the huge support our people have given the business and their importance to it, of which we are very conscious".
Ultra-BCF’s new General Manager, Andrew Neal, a former Air Commodore in the RAF has worked with Ultra-Electronics since leaving the service and brings with him a great passion for and knowledge of the Aerospace and Defence Industry.
Andrew Neal says “It gives me enormous pleasure to be taking over from Gareth John. BCF’s products complement Ultra’s existing fixed and rotary wing military aircraft systems and wiring harness capabilities. The acquisition of BCF augments Ultra’s range of specialist solutions in the fields of safety, testing and validation for military and civil aircraft worldwide. I firmly believe that Ultra-BCF has an exciting future and I look forward to working with the dedicated team at Cirencester to realise our potential.”
